I have over 17 years of experience working with children and adolescents in the mental health and educational setting. I have worked with many children, adolescents, and their families and understand the pain of seeing children unhappy or watching them struggle in school, and become discouraged.
My experience includes working with a diverse population which includes students with mild to severe learning difficulties, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, other health impairments, medical disabilities, giftedness, emotional disturbance, and intellectual disabilities. My use of evidence and research-based practices allows me to provide appropriate educational interventions. In addition, I am very knowledgeable of special education services and law which makes me a valuable consultant and team member for the educational needs of students.
Difficulties with attention, planning and organization, recalling information, emotional issues, behavioral issues, and processing visual or auditory information are just some areas that can undermine a student's educational progress.
If these problems are identified, appropriate interventions can be developed. My student-driven comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations provide valuable information needed to develop an informative strength-based individual education program.
